Hey teachers, we're back!
As we were talking about cutting out on our last post, I was thinking about how important is working fine motor skills on early ages. A very fun idea to do it, is learning to use scissors in a proper way. Here come Jamie and Gemma from Play to learn preeschool to help us out! We can't just of course start off with ''Here you go, this is scissors'' no way! Before that we do a lot of work with fingerplays, play dough... to increase hand strenght. Secondly, we don't have them to cut anything! We tell them how to use them going ''open / shout'' by singing this song for a few minutes.

Como en la última entrada estábamos hablando de ''recortar'', he estado pensando lo importante que es trabajar la psicomotricidad fina en edades tempranas. Una manera muy divertida de hacerlo es utilizando las tijeras de manera correcta. Aquí están Jamie y Gemma de Play to learn preeschool para ayudarnos! Por supuesto no podemos empezar con un ''Toma, esto son las tijeras'' ¡de ninguna manera! Antes de eso hay mucho trabajo previo como jugar con marionetas de dedo, con plastilina ... para desarrollar la psicomotricidad fina. Seguidamente, ¡no les dejamos que corten nada! Les decimos como utilizarlas cantando una canción al tiempo que hacemos el gesto de abrir y cerrar con ellas:

Then we give the children colour paper stripes and a little cup. It is very important the size of the stripe because it needs to be long and narrow, to make the cutting easier for them. As long as the little clour papers fit in their cup, everything will be fine, haha!
When they have lots of different tiny pieces of paper in the cups, it's time to put them in their plastic bag. And last thing, I have posted this stickers for you to print and stick them in their plastic bag. The confetti is done!! Ready to take home!! They will feel so proud of themselves..! Enjoy!!
Después les damos tiras de cartulina de diferente color y una tacita. Es muy importante el tamaño de la tira, pues debe ser larga y estrecha, para facilitar el corte con solo una acción. Mientras los trocitos de papel vayan cayendo en las tacitas, todo irá bien, jeje!
Cuando ya tienen un montón de papelitos de colores en la taza, es hora de ponerlos dentro de su bolsita. Y por último, os he subido unas pegatinas para que las imprimáis y las peguéis en cada bolsita. Confetti hecho!! Y listo para llevar a casa! Esto les hace sentir súper orgullosos de sí mismos, que disfrutéis!
